After a long meeting between local organizers of the Afro T20 League, NCS and Uganda Cricket last evening its confirmed the Ultimate Cricket Safari is going to happen.
The tournament which is played on T20 format will have players featuring from Pakistan, India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, UAE, Afghanistan and local players.
Saeed Ajmal the former Pakistan spin master leads a star cast from Pakistan that has test player Hassan Raza, Muhktar Ahmed and Faiz Ahmed.
The 16 day cricket festival will be broadcast on Neo Sports and PTV in India, Kenyan legends Maurice Odumbe, Kennedy Othieno and David Obuya will be on the commentary job with Indian model Rozlyn Khan being the hostess of the event.
Avniesh Bhardwaj, the brain behind the Cricket Safari mentioned that;
This is our 1st time in Uganda but we want to have this event here in Uganda for the next 5 years. We are grateful to Uganda Cricket and NCS for making this happen.
We ask all Ugandans to come and watch the best players in the world and all this is absolutely free.
Action starts tomorrow at the Lugogo Oval with the Charging Leopards taking on the Mighty Lions in the first game.
