Irfan Afridi batting for the Rising Zebras against the Roaring Lions

Due to the late arrival of some of the superstar names the Afro T20 Cricket League, the main event was pushed to start on December 12.

The organizers of the event decided to push the start as they wait on other stars to arrival tonight as well as conclude on media rights of the event.

However, since Saturday teams have been playing some warm up games  with the main superstar Saeed Ajmal featuring for the Hippo Warriors. He was run out by Arnold Otwani while batting but he picked 3/10 in 3.4 overs as the Hippo Warriors won their warm up game against Royal Elephants.

Roger Mukasa showed his class for his franchise the Mighty Rhinos scoring nearly all of his teams runs alone in their chase of 55 in a rain affected game. He had a match winning half century as his side won with 2 balls to spare.

Pardeep scored the 1st century of the tournament for the Rising Zebras as they defeated Davis Karashani and his Roaring Lions side by 64 runs.

Kenyan International Abraham Vadada (68) scored a half century for the Raging Bulls as the defeated the Striking Panthers by 49 runs. Ugandan opening batsman Arthur Kyobe (75) fought a lone battle for the Panthers but in the end it wasn’t enough as they lost to the Raging Bulls.

The T2o event dubbed the Ultimate Cricket Safari was caused a lot of excitement in the local community with the organizers planning to have it in Uganda for the next 5 years.

The main event will kick off tomorrow, with all games live on Neo Sports (India) and PTV in Pakistan.
