Although the 2017 Tanzania National Rally Championship title is already sealed by Gerard Miller, there is still plenty of reasons to get hooked on the Morogoro Rally as it rounds out the season this weekend.
The Mkwawa Pure Drinking Water Morogoro Rally kicks off on Saturday with over 15 crews aiming to end the season on the high.
The event is anticipated to be a hotly contested affair as each crew exhibits it’s last show to seal the 2017 season on the event winner’s list.
The six previous rounds have produced five winners with Gerald Miller claiming two victories. Randeep Singh, Samir Nadhi, Ahmed Huwel and Harinder Deere topped one event each.
While the above five crews target yet another win, other crews will set their pace to secure their only victory this year hence a tight fight.
Ahmed Huwel who has been undergoing training with Finnish rally ace Tapio Laukkanen will have to prove he learnt something by wining the weekend’s event.
Dharam Pandya who is assured of a second position on the championship will be in search for his first victory in the Subaru.
Meanwhile, the battle for the third position will as well prevail in Morogoro between Samir ‘Shanto’ Nadhi and Harinder Deere who are separated by only a point.
The two day event will cover a total competitive distance of 126.09 kilometres starting with a Super Special Stage on Saturday.
