The new year has finds Charity in a position of an uncertain future, rumour has been ripe in Lugogo that the club is being taken over by unknown individuals after the main Charity Trust Fund pulled out of sponsoring the team. It remains to be seen if this wont be a distraction as the team looks to make the most of their youthful side.
Charity is one of the most exciting young sides in the league with lots of U19 players who like entertain like Simon Ssesazi, Stephen Wambose, Lawrence Ssempijja plus wise heads Jonathan Ssebanja and Innocent Ndaula.
However, they face a huge challenge in league champions Aziz Damani who are looking at completing the season double.
Damani failed to beat defending champions Challengers in the group stages and if they are going to go all the way they have to do the hard work themselves by beating the top sides.
They no doubt have the better players being led by Steve Tikolo with the support cast led by national team players Brian Masaba, Kenneth Waiswa, Riaz Khan, Emmanuel Isaneez and Arnold Otwani.
However, Damani will need to be at its best if they want to overcome the youngsters of Charity, who have always showed up in the big games because they love being the underdog.
