National Rugby Premiership defending champions Heathens ended Kobs’ unbeaten run with a 23-18 win at Kyadondo on Saturday.

Lawrence Ssebuliba was the star man scoring a pair of tries including a game winner during his man of the match performance.

Kobs put the first points on the board through a penalty that James Ijiongat kicked through successfully.

Ijongat narrowed the gap to one point with another penalty before Kobs were finally relieved with Adrian Kasito’s try into halftime walking off with a narrow 07-11 lead.

Chris Lubanga cut Heathens deficit to a point before Lawrence Ssebuliba put the defending champions in the lead with the second try.

Chris Lubanga failed to convert but made up with a penalty moments later as Heathens led 18-11.

Justin Kimono dragged the ball home over the try line.

James Ijongat levelled matters with the conversion.

After a series of swift exchanges, Heathens found the winner, Ssebuliba again scoring his second in similar fashion after Wokorach was stopped in the right wing twice.
