Both nations maybe already eliminated from the ongoing Africa Nations Champions in Morocco but there will be a lot to fight for when Uganda face Ivory Coast on Monday.

Uganda lost to Namibia (1-0) and Zambia (3-1) to bow out of the competition just like Ivory Coast that lost to same opposition 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.

With each assured of $ 175,000 (Ugx. 630 million) for qualifying for the tournament, there is an extra $ 25,000 (over Ugx. 90 million) for whoever will finish third in the group B.

The Cranes go into the match minus defender Timothy Awany (suspension) while goalkeeper Saidi Keni (sickness) is also doubtful.

Good news though is the return of striker Muhammad Shaban who missed the 1-0 defeat to Namibia through an ankle injury.

Uganda has previously finished third in the 2014 and 2016 editions but bottom of the group in their first ever edition in Sudan, seven years ago.
