The 2018 National Motocross Championship had a more than great start with thrilling performances from riders at the Garuga Racing Track on Sunday.

The Orland brothers; Aviv and Stav Orland made the highlight of the day, staging a show in the MX125 and MX85 class respectively.

Although they were guest riders, the brothers demonstrated their unmatched skills comfortably sweeping all three heats in their respective classes.

Ali Omar Yasser took second place overall in the MX125 class while Fortune Sentamu was restricted to runner up in MX85.

However, it was Ali Omar Yasser and Fortune Sentamu to register the 60 points in the class.

Just like his brothers, Alon Orland also proved he will be the man to beat in the MX65 class this season. Alon swept all heats to register 60 points.

Milton Akaki settled for second followed by his brother Milton Akena.

In the MX50 Juniors, Pascal Kasozi finished on top followed by Ahmed Tamale Jr and Ashiraf Mbabazi.

Gift Sebuguzi laid early his title intentions with a dominant race in the MX50class. He topped in all heats. Malcom Omonding finished second with William Blick Jr in third.

MX2, Ronald Milletti restricted the reigning MX2 champion Fatuh Kiggundu to win the class with 54 points.

MX1 had Olivier Van Pee on top with 60 points with Arthur Blick Jr and Anuwar Kabiito in second and third position respectively.

The second round of MX is scheduled for 1st April in Busiika.
