Ashraf Mohammed also know as The Rallying Doctor will be employing a new strategy for the 2018 National Rally Championship that gets underway this Friday in Mbarara.
Ashraf says he is in for a more aggressive approach to boost his performance this season.
“I am hoping to be more aggressive this season. And I have prepared towards that. In the previous season I have been going a bit easy but now I have to change.
“I have previously finished in the top ten. This time I will focus more on finishing in top five or even on podium,” he told Kawowo Sports.
Doctor replaced his co-driver Rahma Mohammed with Edward Kiyingi to further assert his ambitions.
“I needed someone more aggressive. Rahma was a very good co-driver. I know she is very strong but before you took any decision in the car then remember you are with a lady everything changes,” he said.

The OilLibya crew finished eighth overall last year with a third podium position during Pearl Rally as their best finish of the season.
“We are done with preparations for the Mbarara rally. We hope for the best positions and build on that in other events.”
The former NRC champion heads to Mbarara as one of the past winners of the event which he won in 2008.
