For a third season running, JKL Lady Dolphins will have a new head coach.

Mandy Juruni has been appointed Lady Dolphins coach replacing Henry Malinga who has been in charge of the side.

When contacted, JKL manager Fredrick “Freedom” Owora could not confirm neither deny but said a new coach will be presented to the players at a team dinner tonight.

The Namboole based side that gained promotion to the National Basketball League in 2015 had Boniface Okello take charge their first season in 2016 in which they stumbled at the semifinal stage.

Henry Malinga who also worked with Okello took over last year and the side could not go past UCU Lady Canons in the semifinals. Malinga will now be the assistant to Juruni.

Meanwhile, Lynn Nalunkuma has left the club for Ndejje.

Franklin Kaweru is the Editor in Chief of Kawowo Sports. He is an ardent basketball enthusiast.
