Following the completion of all the group stage matches at the 2018 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament, the quarter final menu is now complete.
Hosts Morocco, who topped Group A will face Group B runners up Namibia.
Group B winners Zambia will face Group A runners-up Sudan, the only CECAFA representative left in the biannual tourney.
Meanwhile, Group C winners Nigeria set a date with Group D runners-up Angola and Congo, winners of Group D will lock horns with Group C runners-up Libya.
There was drama in the final Group C match when Libya scored three minutes into stoppage time to edge Rwanda 1-0 Tuesday and snatch a quarterfinal place behind group winners Nigeria.
Substitute Elmutasem Abushnaf was the hero for Libya with the last minute gasp winner that denied Rwanda a second successive quarter final berth at the tournament exclusively reserved for the players who ply their trade domestically in the respective leagues.
Nigeria overcame fellow West Africans Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in Agadir.
Equatorial Guinea took the lead on 40 minutes through Secundino Eyama Nsi. Anthony Okpotu equalized on the hour mark and nine minutes later, Ekundayo Ojo then gave Nigeria the lead with a stunning shot.
With seven minutes to the end of the game, 37-year-old Ali Rabiu scored a penalty to seal the victory. Rabiu is the second oldest player at the tournament after 38-year-old Congo goalkeeper Barel Mouko.
Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes returned safely home on Wednesday afternoon after their elimination from the 2018 CHAN tournament.
Matches at the CHAN tournament carry full international status and count towards the monthly FIFA rankings.
