Express FC Coach Shafik Bisaso has called for concerted efforts from all stakeholders to save the Red Eagles from being relegated.
The soft spoken tactician said this after his side whitewashed Kachumbala 6-0 in the round of 64 of the Uganda Cup on Saturday.
Michael Birungi scored three times while Juma Ssebaduka, Ronnie Kisekka and David Ndihabwe got one apiece.
“I am delighted with the result we got,” said Bisaso. “Scoring six goals in a competition where it’s tough to score gives us encouragement that there is work done since it has been happening in practice matches we have played,” he added.
But the most important result isn’t not this but survival in the league. I know it will be tough but if we combine effort, then we shall make it. It’s not my job alone but all of us.
The Red Eagles had only one player on the substitutes’ bench and Bisaso knew why.
We released so many players and we are to obtain licenses from FUFA although we did all the paper work.
Express FC are second from the bottom on the Uganda Premier League standings with 11 points from 15 games.
