Simba Sports Club humbled visiting Maji Maji 4-0 during one of the Tanzania premier League matches played on Sunday.

Uganda Cranes on-form forward Emmanuel Arnold Okwi and team skipper John Raphael Bocco each scored a brace at the National Stadium in the humid Dar es salaam city.

Bocco headed home two goals in the 16th and 16th minutes of the opening stanza.

Okwi exhibited immense class with clinical finishing expertise with two second half goals in the 52nd and 68th minutes.

These added to his season tally that has witnessed  4 individual goals in Simba’s 7-0 demolition of Shooting Ruvu.

The former Sports Club Villa Jogoo captain who also had stints at SønderjyskE Fodbold (Denmark), Etoil Du Sahel (Tunisia) and Yanga (Tanzania) also scored twice against Mwadui, one against Njombe Mji and most recently two goals against Shafik Batambuze’s Singida United.

Uganda Cranes central defender Murushid Jjuuko also featured for the entire duration of the game.

Simba extended their lead at the summit of the league standings with 35 points, five off second placed Azam Football Club.

Reigning league champions Yanga have 28 points.
