Wayland Baptist University fell to Texas Wesleyan University 66-68 in the Sooner Athletic Conference on Saturday.

Ugandan Samuel Kalwanyi posted 20 points – two shy of his season-best – and grabbed season-high 15 rebounds in a losing effort. Ruben Lopez chipped in 13 points, Trevonta Robertson 12 and Tyrone Davis 10.
The game was Wayland’s third on the road during the tough week in which they did not record a win.
The road trip started with an 86-50 exhibition game loss to NCAA Division I Texas-Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg on Tuesday then fell 108-106 in double overtime to Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie on Thursday.
