The Cricket Cranes arrived in Doha Qatar in the wee hours of Wednesday and were received by a Qatar Cricket Association delegation led by Gul Mohammad Khan Jadoon.

The 16 man team led by team manager Jackson Kavuma later checked into the plush Rotana Hotel where they will be staying for the Qatar leg of the tour.

UK based Lloyd Paternnot was able to link up with his teammates at the hotel to complete the team of 17 that was selected from Kampala.

The team had an afternoon session at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium to shake off any jet lag as they prepare to take on a Presidents XI in their 1st game of the tour.

Lloyd Paternnot will be making his debut for Uganda on the tour and all eyes are on him to make sure he can be valuable going forward.

I have been looking forward to this trip and am backing all the time I have put in during training to help me put up some great performances.

The team is led by Roger Mukasa and he will be the obvious go to man for runs during the tour.

The exciting U19 prodigy Zephaniah Arinaitwe and Riaz Khan will be the other players to look out for.

Fred Achellam makes full debut in a full time role as wicket keeper batsman and it will be interesting to see how he fares in proper international cricket.

Denis has represented Uganda in international cricket events including the World Cup. He is currently the captain of Wanderers Cricket Club. Interwin Interwin INTERWIN Starwin88 ...
