Masavu Football Club completed their mid-season build up matches with a 1-0 victory against Kampala United at the Fisheries Training Institute play ground in Bugonga, Entebbe on Thursday.

Orthodox Left footed winger James Kasibante, one of the new signings at the club scored the all-important goal.

This was the third build-up of the Entebbe based club in the mid season period.

Earlier on, team captain Abraham Ndugwa converted a penalty before another signing John Ssemazzi scored the other goal as Masavu won 2-0 against Buganda regional outfit, Entebbe F.C.

In the first build up, Masavu scored a late goal to condemn visiting Uganda Martyrs, Nkozi 1-0 at the Works play ground in the heart of Entebbe town.

Another new signing Ashadu Bakulumpagi scored for Masavu against Uganda Martyrs.

Secondary Transfer window signings:

The club has signed 12 new players in the secondary transfer window to include the tried and tested Arthur Semazzi, Patrick Senfuka, Herbert Kakande, Simon Namwanja (on loan from Proline), Abubakari Tabula, James Kasibante and towering defender Micheal ‘Libero’ Otimong.

Other new signings are Salimu Munaku, Benjamin Nyakoojo (on loan from Vipers), Ashadu Bakulumpagi as well as the Godfrey duo of Waswa and Kana.

Masavu is preparing for the kick off the of the Uganda Premier league second round with a home game against UPDF this Saturday.

Other matches:

Besides the Masavu-UPDF game, there will be other six matches on the day.

BUL entertains URA at Kakindu stadium, Jinja, Onduparaka will be at home to Express, Police up against Mbarara City at Namboole, Proline with Kirinya-Jinja S.S, Sports Club Villa Jogoo hosting Maroons and Soana entertaining Vipers at Kavumba Recreational stadium.
