Nakuru Rally will set the ball rolling to the 2018 Kenya National Rally Championship series. The season revs off on Saturday with all crews set to kick start their season ambitions.
Whereas all crews have targets for the new season, Onkar Rai can think of no better place than home event to commence the season on a high.
Rai is the defending winner for the Nakuru Rally. He hopes to pick from his last performance in the same event.
“We are definitely entering the event with the same target like before; to win. Hopefully we can achieve it yet again,” he said.

The Kabras Rally Team driver finished fifth overall in the 2017 KNRC season. He however targets a much better position this year.
“Definitely, we are going for the best this year. But we shall take it rally by rally as we try to keep within the targets,” he added.
To assert his seasonal ambitions, Rai will be joined by Tapio Laukkanen to elevate his skills.
“Yes, Tapio will be doing a bit of training with with us. We hope to learn a lot from him.
“And besides, I am now feeling more familiar with the car. Hopefully we can push more this year,” he asserted.
Onkar Rai will partner with Gareth Dawe in the Skoda Fabia.
