Ali Mwebe has been appointed as the Football Development Director for Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

The 32-year-old Sports Science Kyambogo University graduate – cum- CAF Beach Soccer Referees’ Instructor was confirmed on Wednesday, 14th February 2018 by the FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Edgar Watson.

“Ali Mwebe is now the FUFA Football Development Director. He will be assisted by Bashir Mutyaba, who also serves as the FUFA Youth Development Officer,” Watson noted.

This followed the retirement of former Technical Director Ausman Lubowa.

Mwebe has of late completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Management at Leipzig University in Germany, a course he undertook in October 2017.

He has been serving as the FUFA Competitions and Information Technology (IT) Director since 5th May 2014, a position that has now been taken over by long serving FUFA staff Aisha Nalule.

Mwebe’s first task at hand will be organizing the football symposium (that will ) slated for 10th March 2018.
