After an eventful 2017 season, where he exhibited great advancement in his pace, Karan Patel will be at it again this season to further prove his worth.
The 26 year-old kept within the top positions in the championship eventually finishing fourth overall in the season standings as well as winning the Division one title.
With the 2018 season opener set for this Saturday, Patel is hopeful he can start off with a bang.
“We are going into this season with a positive attitude towards the end result. We will be trying our very best to win at least one rally this year.”
The former WRC driver will go first off the ramp in Nakuru followed by the reigning champion Ian Duncan.
“I am looking forward to starting first on the road this weekend. It’s not the first time I will be leading the road though.
“I know it’s going to be quite competitive this weekend, but we shall take it on the way it is,” he said.
Patel will be navigated by James Mwangi in a Mitsubishi EvoX.
Over 20 crews will take in the KNRC season opener this weekend.
