Despite losing to bitter rivals KCCA on Thursday, SC Villa assistant coach Paul Mukatabala says there is no need to panic.
Allan Okello netted an 86th minute winner to condemn the Jogoos to only their second loss in 17 games trimming their lead at the summit to one.
“It’s painful to lose in the manner we did but that’s football,” said Mukatabala. “We were dominant, created chances but failed to put them away and now pressure mounts,” he added.
But to win the championship, you must be able to overcome pressure and we are confident of getting back on track. It’s good this game came early in the season and as a team, we remain focused on the prize.
SC Villa were denied by Charles Lukwago’s brilliance in goal and later, Okello capitalized on a poor wall to put the ball behind the back of the net from a free kick.
The record league winners now shift focus to another big game against four-time champions URA at Masaka Recreation Ground next week with a chance to return to winning ways.
They are table leaders with 33 points, one better than KCCA and SC Villa but the Kasasiro have a game in hand.
