The Cricket Cranes showed no signs of fatigue when they defeated the ND Warriors and Strikers XI in the first two games of their tour in India.
The team was joined by Ronak Patel and Dinesh Nakarani from their Indian base. Both players featured for Kutchi Tigers in the local league and the night cricket tournament and they are being given a trial by the team management to see if they can fit into the national team set up. Patel lit up the national league last year scoring over 500 runs in only 6 innings.
The two were also joined by Emmanuel Isaneez and Stephen Wambose from Kampala as cover for the Pakistan trio of Bilal Hassan, Riaz Ali Shah and Irfan Afridi who couldn’t travel to India because of immigration issues.
Roger Mukasa and company quickly got to work dismissing the ND Warriors for only 75 after setting 130 runs. Deus Muhumuza is in the form of his life for the national team and he was Man of Match for his 35.
In the second game against Strikers XI, another on form player on the tour Simon Ssesazi was Man of Match for a wonderfully struck 51 as the Cricket Cranes won by 8 wickets.
They have a bumpy schedule on the India leg of the tour with 7 games lined up against different Indian sides. They are in action today in a 40 over game.
