Kenneth Waiswa receives his Man of Match Award

Cricket Cranes won their third game in India at the Sanjay Cricket Farm in Mumbai after defeating the Surat District U19 by 1 wicket.Coach Steve Tikolo made wholesome changes to the playing team resting the senior players Roger Mukasa, Charles Waiswa and Deus Muhumuza which gave a chance to all the youngsters on the tour a chance to play.

Kenneth Waiswa made the most of this chance earning the Man of Match award with a gusty 33 runs off 39 runs and he was supported by Fred Achellam (31) and stand in captain Brian Masaba (31).

The Surat District U19 batted first scoring 175/8 in their 40 overs with in swinger Trevor Bukenya (3/51), Henry Ssenyondo (1/11) and Dinesh Nakrani (1/31) among the wickets.

In response, Uganda wobbled in the chase failing to create distant partnerships but Fred Achellam (31) together with Kenneth Waiswa (33) scored the most important runs with the former hitting the winning runs for the cricket cranes.

The team takes a day off today and will be in action again on Monday.
