When second on the table AS Kigali visits 5th placed Police Football Club at the Kicukiro stadium during match day 12 of the Rwanda Premier League, two Ugandans Shamiru ‘Blessed’ Batte (goalkeeper) and striker Frank ‘Machette’ Kalanda will play for the former club.

Both clubs will be working towards closing the gap on the log leaders, Kiyovu.

Apparently, Kiyovu has an away engagement to Kirehe Football club in the day’s other match.

“We have to make sure we’re ready for every game. We want to make good progress and end the season strongly,” noted AS Kigali head coach Eric Nshimiyimana, as quoted by New Times.

A quick look at the records indicates dominance for Police who have won nine matches in the 24 meetings with AS Kigali.

AS Kigali boosts of just 5 victories and 11 matches have ended in stalemates.

Meanwhile, Dennis Rukundo’s APR shall be at home to Miroplast in one of the four games lined up on Wednesday.

In the other games, Mukura hosts Marines, Sun rise against Amaguju.

Bugesera, home to another Ugandan born midfielder Farouk ‘Ssentongo’ Ruhinda will play host to Etincelles.
