- Ahly (Egy) 3-0 Nkumba (Uga) | 25-7, 25-12, 25-16
Nkumba University was handed a rude welcome at the 2018 Women’s African Club Championship on Tuesday.
Hosts and record winners Ahly topped the Ugandan league winners in straight sets (25-7, 25-12, 25-16) in the first game of Pool A.
Ahly dominated the match completely and Tony Lakony’s charges did not help themselves as they gave away easy points from the service box and poor reception.
Nkumba are out of action until Friday, March 9 when they face Nyong of Cameroon.
Meanwhile, the other Ugandan side at the tournament VVC defeated DGSP in straight sets.
