Right back Joseph Nsubuga brushed home the day’s lone decisive goal barely five minutes to the half time break.

Nsubuga was well positioned to have a slight touch onto a teasing free-kick delivery from Martin Kizza on the right flank.

Before the goal, Kizza had set up Godfrey Lwesibawa but the latter’s heavy touch to the ball denied him from close range.

From then on, SC Villa Jogoo defended well and missed  doubling the lead when Kizza’s wall pass with George Ssenkaba set him free but was denied with a goalkeeper to beat incident.

Ndejje University’s Anwar Ntege was a thorn in the flesh of the Jogoos’ backline for long spells of the game.
