- Division 3
- Saturday 23rd March 2018
- Kyambogo Oval – JACC Vs Soroti Blazer, 11: 30am
- Budo Oval – Nyakasura Vs Jinja SS, 11:30am

The girls from Soroti made history last year by winning the ladies T20 league at the first time of asking and that success has forced the management of Soroti Cricket Academy to also introduce a boys team that can compete in the national league.
The Soroti Blazers will make their debut in the Division 3 of the National Cricket League and they wont get a better opening game than against JACC.
The jinja based side is a mere shadow of its old self with a mix of some veterans and school kids but they never come to win therefore unless you want to lose they wont come for a result.
In a very wide open Division 3 after the promotion of Buddo Cricket Club and Avengers via the board room, Soroti Blazers will stake a big case for promotion with only Kampala Pirates being the only hurdle to over come.
Though the core of the Soroti Blazers will be the home grown boys of Soroti, they have added seasoned cricketers like Ivan Kakande and Steven Kahuma both from Nile Cricket Club and last seasons Division 3 best bowler Pande Bonnie from Mwiri.
In the other game in Division 3, the school sides of Jinja SSS and Nyakasura will face off in Buddo.
Jinja SSS was demoted last season from Division 2 while Nyakasura missed promotion to Division 2 after Buddo edged them on run rate.
The teams are fierce rivals in Schools Cricket with Jinja SSS being the victor on many occasions and they are slight favorites.
However, Ivan Thawithemwira and his Nyakasura boys showed a lot of maturity in the league when they were competing for the first time and they are coming to compete.
Both sides will have to contend with the long travel for the game in Buddo but for whoever is able to win the return trip will be worthwhile.
