On their return to continent, Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) suffered a straight sets defeat to the 2016 African champions El Geish.

Egyptian side El Geish controlled the game right from start enroute a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-19) victory in Pool D at Ahly Hall in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.

Uganda’s National Club Championship winners terribly lost the first set 25-11 but grew into the game in the subsequent sets.

KAVC bettered the first set score by five points in the second and by 9 points which should give coach David Okot some hope heading into the second group game on Wednesday.

David Okot’s men return to action on Wednesday night to take on Algerian side Olympique.
