Bulega, a former national team player herself has all the belief that Uganda Crested Cranes can match the much fancied Kenyans.

We have been doing well together with my staff and I hope the players will put to action whatever we have given them.

A point wouldn’t be bad away before the second leg in Kampala (Lugogo stadium)

Bulega is assisted by Edward Kaziba, Oliver Mbekeka (fitness) and former Uganda Cranes cum State House goalkeeper James Magala as the goalkeeping coach.

The Uganda team departed for Kenya by road on Sunday ahead of the first leg that will be played this Wednesday at the Kenyatta stadium in Machakos.

The Ugandans have been training well for the past couple of weeks; first at Namboole outside play ground and then at IUIU Kabojja campus.

They won two friendly matches against Kampala Select and UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

“We played two matches and won and scored four goals, we can as well score the same or more in Kenya,” Bulega added

The return leg will be played on Sunday April 8 at Star Times Stadium Lugogo.

Kenya had previously beaten Uganda Crested Cranes twice with an identical 4-0 scoreline, during an international friendly match and at the CECAFA women challenge cup.
