- Uganda Crested Cranes vs. Kenya Harambee Starlets – 4:00 pm, Lugogo

Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Faridah Bulega was left impressed despite her side falling to Kenya Harambee Starlets.
Harambee Starlets defeated the Crested Cranes 1-0 in the first round of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifiers at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday.
Lillian Adera’s long-range strike decided the first leg to give Kenya the advantage heading into the return leg on Sunday but Bulega is not moved.
“I’m happy (with the performance),” she told the press after the game. “We came here to defend not to concede five, six or ten as Kenya expected… I appreciate these ladies.
“I’m not so comfortable (with the loss) but according to records, Kenya has been scoring four against us, but if I have come here with this (young) regime (and conceded one), I’m happy.”
Bulega who was in charge of her first international match since taking over the job credited the performance to teamwork and commitment and is confident the Crested Cranes can overturn the result in the second leg.
“We are going to the drawing board as the technical team varnish those (good) things more. Come to Uganda, I promise my country were are going to have a win there.
“These are young girls who are adopting to everything we are telling them,” Bulega optimistically told journalists.
