Buganda Province’s 1-0 victory in the FUFA Drum away to Lango was long over due.

It was wildly celebrated for one obvious and bold reason that the star studded side had not picked any win in the first two matches.

Allan Kayiwa was the hero with the lone goal of the day after Emmanuel Kalyowa’s cut back.

“We worked as a team for this victory. We needed it at all costs because anything less of victory would have cost us dearly. We shall remain focused for the next match” Buganda’s captain, Brian Majwega stated after the game.

Lango’s star player Allan Okello, a left footed gem with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club was named the man of the match.

Buganda now has four points following a point earned in Gulu over Acholi and their opening home loss to Kigezi on match day one.

Meanwhile, Acholi overcame Kigezi 1-0 at the Pece Stadium in Gulu.

Former Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Kira Young midfielder Derrick Tekkwo scored the match winner.

Buganda will host Lango at Mityana Ssaza ground in the next match this Saturday and Kigezi will entertain Acholi at the Kabale Municipal Stadium.
