University Football League 2018 (Group C):
Kyambogo University 5-0 Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST)
Kyambogo University defeated Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) 5-0 in a group C match of the University Football League (UFL) at the ITEK play ground on Sunday.
Benjamin Nzabakira opened the way with a 9th minute goal.
Moses Aliganyira ensured the home team finish the first half with a goal on the stroke of half time.
Aliganyira returned with another goal as the second half kicked off in the 46th minute.
Ivan Silvester Okello scored the fourth, 6 minutes into the second half and Shafik Magumba sealed the victory a minute to the hour mark.
William Okello of Kyambogo University was named man of the match for his overwhelming command of the game.
Kyambogo is now top of the group C following their earlier one all draw away to Mbarara University Business School (MUBS) last week.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) marked a winning debut in the league, triumphing 2-0 at their Mbale home against visiting Kampala International University (KIU).
Emmanuel Nagwere tapped home Muhammad Nakiibi’s teasing cut back in the 30th minute as the hosts took the lead.
Nakiibi once again turned provider, assisting a well stationed Mubaraka Kaggwa for the second goal as Harunah Kebba’s coached side earned the maximum points.
