KCCA Football Club will host their 2018 CAF Champions League group stage matches at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
This was confirmed after CAF team approved only Mandela National Stadium as the suitable venue for hosting the matches.
In a letter addressed to the club through FUFA, CAF Deputy General Secretary Football and Development, Anthony Baffoe noted;
With regards to the inspection visit conducted by CAF for the stadiums in Uganda for the next phase of the 2018 Champions League season, CAF decided to approve the Mandela Stadium as the stadium that will host all the matches of KCCA FC during their participation in the competition.
KCCA FC was drawn in Group A of the CAF Champions League with Esperance (Tunisia), Al Ahly (Egypt) and Township Rollers (Botswana).
The back-to-back Uganda Premier League champions start their Champions League group stage campaign against Township Rollers in Botswana.
Their first home match will be against record African champions Al hly on Tuesday, May 15.
