The visiting team took the lead through Moemedi Moatlhaping’s first minute penalty.

Moatlhaping, a former Township Rollers player in the youth set up, broke the deadlock inside the opening 60 seconds of the game.

Boy Segolame scored in quick succession in the 19th and 34th minutes as the Popa Popa made it 2-1 by the mandatory half time break.

Lemponye Tshirelesto stretched the lead to 3-1 for Rollers in the 67th minute before Moatlhaping scored his second penalty in the next minute.

Uganda Cranes holding midfielder Ivan ”Kojja” Ntege replaced Bogosi Mfila with twenty minutes left on the clock.

Sharps got the equalizer a minute to full time, courtesy of Moatlhaping to complete his historic hat-trick of penalties.

After the game, Township Rollers head coach, Nikola Kavazovic spoke to the club website about the game;

In the beginning of the match we conceded a goal which affected us a little for about 15 minutes early in the first half. After that we managed to settle and play well, we got two goals before half time, which is a good thing when you are coming from behind. But in the second half, I just cannot explain the performance of my team, how they let in those two goals, it is something I will have to talk to them and try to understand

Meanwhile, second placed Jwaneng Galaxy was held one all by the Extension Gunners in Lobatse on the same night.

Extension Gunners is home to another Ugandan, Francis Olaki.

Township Rollers maintain the margin from Galaxy to three points.

The two sides will face off in a mouth watering clash on Monday, 16th April 2018.
