Asuman Mugerwa has been named National Rugby Cranes XVs side for the upcoming international season.

The Kabras Sugar front row replaces Brian Odong who has skippered the side since 2014. The Kobs front row underwent surgery on his knee and will not be available for the season.

The former Heathens strongman will be assisted by Kobs’ speed merchant Justin Kimono.

Rugby Cranes will entertain South African Supa Babarians at Legends Rugby Club on Saturday, April 28 and Monday, April 30.

Free State Cheetahs will also test the Ugandan national side at Legends on May 16 and Kyadondo on May 19 before the Rugby Cranes play Namibia in the opening match of the Gold Cup at Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek on June 16.
