Kyadondo East constituency Member of Parliament Hon. Robert “Bobi Wine” Kyagulanyi joined the bandwagon to save the life of former Uganda Cranes defender Ausi Kaaya.
Kaaya, the former Uganda Cranes right back, who was diagnosed with an acute lung infection is visibly becoming weaker and frail by the day.

Bobi Wine paid a courtesy visit to the ill former Uganda cranes player at his home in Kawempe Mbogo.
Accompanied by Kawempe Mayor Owedembe Emmanuel Sserunjoji and the entire Fire base Army football team, Bobi Wine contributed Uganda shillings one million.
He also appealed to general public to come up and support the former sportsman. In particular, Bobi Wine called upon the First lady, who is also the minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni for help.
I am here as a brother and to help my brother who is in pain. Together with Fire Base football club, we have contributed Shs. 1M towards the Ausi Kaaya drive. I also call upon the general public to come up and help. On this note, I request the honourable minister Mama Janet Museveni to come and help this cause.
Mathius Lukwago, the man behind the save Ausi Kaaya drive praised the heart and the spirit portrayed by the visitors and all those who have helped generously.


Sophie Kaaya, wife to Kaaya appreciated all who have come out to save Kaaya especially the media and asked people to buy the Sports fan magazines that were donated to him as a way of raising the money to carter for his treatment.
