Uganda Cricket named the 14 ladies that will take part in the tour to Zimbabwe in preparation for the T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers.

The ladies who have been training for the big event slated for July had a build up tour to Tanzania where they won all six games and they will travel to Zimbabwe next week as they fine tune themselves for the qualifiers in Netherlands.

Carol Namugenyi and Joyce Mary Apio who missed the Tanzania tour are back in the side with Prico Nakitende as the new addition to the squad.

Kevin Awino remains the captain, assisted by Janet Mbabazi with African MVP Gertrude Chandiru who missed the Tanzania trip due to illness is fully fit and available for the trip.

In Zimbabwe the Lady Cricket Cranes will play against three other nations with the series involving hosts Zimbabwe, Namibia and fellow East Africans Tanzania.

They play up to eight T20 games while in Zimbabwe and it should give coaches Francis Otieno and Grace Mutyagaba enough time to review their squad and work on areas that need improvement.
