Only weather will stop Nyakasura from defeating JACC on Saturday in Kyambogo on Saturday.
Nyakasura fought hard in the 11 run loss to Division 3 pace setters Soroti Blazers and they have an opportunity to get back to winning ways when they meet Jinja based JACC.
JACC are happy to participate and haven’t won the league in a very long time. The team from Jinja is full of very young players who wont give any team sleepless nights.
The school boys of Nyakasura showed a lot of fight and their inexperience was their undoing in the tight game against Soroti blazers.
Bad weather has hindered their preparations but Coach Ivan Thawithemwira feels the boys will give their best.
We have had interruptions by the weather, so the preparations haven’t been as good as we would like but the boys have put in whatever time they can in a bid to get ready.
In Budo, Coach Habib Mugalula and his boys will take on Karago. Karago new comers in the Division 3 league will be playing their first game of the league.
The team mainly composed of players from Kasese and Fort Portal will have to take on the long journey from the western part of Uganda to face a strong Jinja SSS side.
Coach Ivan Thawithemwira who has both his sides playing will have his work out for him but knows Karago that has more experienced players can hold its own. When we asked him about Karago preparations this is what he said;
Alijuna Fortunate is coming through nicely. Okabo Johnson and Balijuka Hillary too have been showing improvement.
Jinja SSS are favorites for promotion back to Division 2 but that favorite tags remain on paper and they will have to put in some hard yards.
Jinja SSS dropped down from Division 2 last season and they will feel they belong to the divisions high up. Coach Habib Mugalula will have to use some of his good luck with the girls who just won the girls cricket week to make sure they can win the Division 3 title.
