  • Tornado Bee CC Vs KICC – 10:30am

Entebbe Oval

  • Premier CC Vs Kutchi Tigers – 10:30am

The strength of the Tornado Bee squad will be tested this weekend when they face KICC.

The last time the four-time league winners played without talisman Roger Mukasa, they failed to win and this time they will be missing him and Deus Muhumuza who will also be battling Malaysia in Kuala Lumpar in the Division 4 World Cricket League.

Tornado Bee won their first game of the season with the Cricket Cranes Captain Roger Mukasa the anchor of the innings scoring an unbeaten 80 odd and they will greatly miss him and all rounder Deus Muhumuza.

Muhumuza anchored the team most of last season when Roger Mukasa was away and responsibility will now lie on Akbra Baig and Lawrence Ssematimba to score runs for the team.

KICC will also be without two key players Irfan Afridi and Frank Nsubuga who are also away with the national side in Malaysia. They will however, have the comfort of having their on form all rounder Davis Karashani who has picked up 9 wickets in his last two games.

They have won one game and lost two games but were fortunate to be awarded points for the game against Ceylon Lions who are adjudged to have played without properly registering their players.

Their only points from the action were got from the game against Premier. This is undoubtedly the game of the weekend and if the weather allows it should be a good game for fans.

At the lakeside oval in Entebbe, Kutchi Tigers will be hoping to bounce back from their 5 wicket loss to the defending champions Aziz Damani last weekend at the same ground.

Kutchi Tigers are seasoned tough competitors and new comers Premier will face a torrid time trying to stop them from collecting all five points.

Premier the Division 2 champions are yet to settle in Division 1 and have lost their opening two games and they will need to find their footing soon before they run out of games.

The loss of most of their championship winning squad to Patidar has meant that they start the season with mostly new players and the sooner they can gel the sooner they can get results.

Denis has represented Uganda in international cricket events including the World Cup. He is currently the captain of Wanderers Cricket Club.
