Somalia Premier League club Banadir S.C traveled to the neighbouring Djibouti ahead of two 2018 Arab Club cup qualification matches.
Coached by former Uganda Cranes striker Hussein Mbalangu, Banadir eyes success in the two matches against Djibouti Telecom and a club from Comoros.
A CAF “A” licenced tactician, Mbalangu, in an interview with Kawowo Sports showed the readiness for his charges ahead of the match;
We traveled safely to Djibouti and we have so far had two sessions. All the players are upbeat and ready for the matches.
Banadir Sports Club will face Djibouti Telecom FC this Saturday at the National stadium.
They are expected to line up a formidable line up that has the likes of Tomas Mwangi, Maaney Ciise, Abdullahi, Bannu, Ciise Ibra, Cali, Cadil, Gacal, Moha, Najib, Benteke and goalkeeper Sulaiman Maaney.
The winner in the qualifiers will advance to the main 2018 Arab club tournament in Saudi Arabi after the Holy month of Ramathan.
In the Somalia domestic league, Banadir currently leads the table standings.
They have 38 points in 18 games, Dekeeda and Heagan each have tallied 32 points.
Heagan has played 16 games and Dekeeda has played 15 games.
