Title chasing Vipers will be eager to keep their decent run with a home win against their former coach Abdallah Mubiru’s Police on Friday.

The two teams face off at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende with the Cops in different state as compared to when they last met in the league but Edward Golola, the in charge at Vipers doesn’t take the game lightly.

“Amidst all the problems at the club, Police FC remains a very good side,” said Golola whose side hold a two point advantage at the top.

“But we have to put out a statement going into the final bend and we must win to keep momentum,” he added.

His counterpart Mubiru admits the game doesn’t come really at a good time but says his boys are determined to go for a decent result.

“Sadly, we are not where we would have wanted to be at this time in the season,” he said. “But that’s no excuse. The boys go into each game determined for a result and it won’t be different come Friday,” he went on before adding;

We are a team that wants to compete and we shall give a good account of ourselves.
