A number of hardships cutting across limited funding, resilient parents and guardians, shortage of sports equipment and playing fields, to mention but a few, always restrict the prosperity of football academies.
Fast rising Edgars Youth Football Programme is one of the success scripts to report home about in Uganda.
The latest development at Edgars Youth Programme is the sealing of a five year partnership with city based girls’ school, Rubaga Girls School.

Team leader at Edgars Youth Programme, Edgar Watson, also the FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) believes the partnership will push the programme an extra mile especially towards promoting girls football in Uganda;
We are privileged to launch the partnership with Rubaga Girls school, one of the well-known schools that groom girls in the country. This partnership will last for five years with the school expected to provide their playing ground as one of the facilities, provide students to be trained and other aspects that may arise as time rolls on. Rubaga Girls school management has the expertise of managing and handling the girl child and we are glad to partner with such experts as we venture into the development of girls’ football within the academy and Uganda as a whole.

For 10 years now, the academy has preserved the stormy conditions and amidst all challenges surged forward.
Several success stories have been registered at the academy ranging from equipping young boys and girls with football basics and life skills as well as leadership, expression and teamwork elements.


Meanwhile, Edgars Youth Programme has confirmed a ten day’s training session this holiday at the Rubaga Girls school play ground for this coming holiday.
Edgars Youth Programme has qualified coaches with the best hands expertise.
The academy has a number of programmes ranging from the weekend sessions to holiday programmes with extended tours to Europe and the United States of America (USA).
The age catergory cuts across from 6 to 18 years.
