Uganda Ladies Golf Union ushered in new office bearers for the two year tenure 2018/2020.
Eva Magala took over the presidency from Maxi Byenkya whose term expired after great diligent service from 2016.
Magala has since expressed gratitude towards the new role and vowed to surge the ladies union forward for prosperous ventures ahead.
I am very honoured to take over the presidency for the Uganda Ladies Golf Union. The honour comes along with special responsibilities which I believe are achievable with team work and collective effort
Gloria Mbaguta will deputize Magala.
Samalie Naikoba is the secretary general, Hon Evelyn Asiimwe the treasurer.
The members on the current executive are Wendy Angudeyo and Joan Kyatuuka.
The new working committee will work tooth and nail alongside the Uganda Golf Union to maintain the status quo of golf among the ladies in the country lest making the game better.
In particular, there is urgent need to lure more sponsors and partners to support the development of lady golfers, organize better competitions as well as develop the game from the grassroots which is streamlined towards recruiting more female golfers in the country.
The Uganda Ladies Open is the main event for the female gender in Uganda.
