City Oilers completed the semifinal line-up of the men’s National Basketball League playing after sweeping Sharing Youth on Monday night.

City Oilers quest to win the sixth championship in a row saw the side oust sweep Sharing Youth 2-0.

Oilers who had won game one 81-69 on Saturday, managed to squeeze past Sharing with a hard fought 84-75 victory to seal a semifinal slot.

In a highly contested Monday night affair, Oilers led 44-37 at halftime and took the third quarter 19-16 extend their lead to 10 points going into the final quarter.

A determined Sharing side took the game to defending champions but could not overhaul the deficit to Oilers who prevailed to the semifinals.

Caesar Kizito scored a game high 21 points for Sharing. Emma Okumu and Baraka Mopele scored 11 points apiece.

Jimmy Enabu led the way for Oilers with 20 points, Landry Ndikumana had a 13 points and 14 rebounds double-double while Josh Johnson contributed 10 points.

Oilers play KIU Titans in the best-of-five semifinals. The two sides faced off in last season’s finals with Oilers sweeping the competitive series 4-0.
