Despite their undisputed talent and skills on the bike, the Orland brothers are yet to secure honors in the National Motocross Championship.

Aviv Orland was the first Ugandan to secure an African MX title during the Motocross of African Nations in Nairobi Kenya in 2016. He lifted the MX85 class title.

His young brother; Stav Orland later this year clinched the African title in the same class (MX85) in Bostwana.

Together with young brother Alon Orland, the trio is at the edge of claiming their maiden regional titles after topping the first round of regional MX in the MX125, 85 and MX65 respectively in March. They will ahead to Nairobi in December with the target of sealing their maiden regional titles.

The brothers have proven unmatched in their respective classes while in the home championship.

During the weekend’s seventh round of National Motocross Championship, Aviv and Stav not only dominated their respective classes but also put up a challenge in MX1 class eventually topping one heat.

With their proven talent, they are yet to pick honours at home.

“We would really love them to compete for the national titles but it’s a bit tricky because they travel a lot. So we get to miss more than four races in the season. Alon had a chance this year, but he fractured his arm during the practice,” said Evas Orland, their mother.

“But am sure next year they will definitely compete for the home titles. All we need is to have the season calendar on time and plan accordingly,” she added.

The Orland brothers have been focusing more on the international races in America. Next month, the brothers will compete in the Motocross Mini Olympics in Florida.

“We were focusing on our pace for the upcoming event. I decided to race in MX1 because I felt it was busier and would check my pace.

“We have been to Florida before. Last time we didn’t do so well because we are competing with world’s best. But we hope to do much better this time,” said Aviv.
