URA Football Club may be one of the three unbeaten sides in the 2018-19 season but goals have not come easy for the tax collectors.
The four-time Uganda Premier League champions have managed a meager four goals in eight matches played thus far.
URA’s goals have come in the 1-0 win over Ndejje, one-all draw with Maroons and the season opening 2-0 win over Paidha Black Angels.
Head coach Sam Ssimbwa has made it clear his attacking line is blunt and at some point considered fielding goalkeeper James Alitho as a forward.
As a result, Ssimbwa is considering raiding Bright Stars for their break out striker Brian Kayanja.
“I’m going for that boy (Brian Kayanja) in January,” Ssimbwa said. “I don’t have strikers, and that has been evident. We create chances but we don’t score,” he added.
Kayanja has scored four goals, as many as the entire URA team has tallied for the season in eight games.
Vitalis Tabu (2), Peter Lwasa and Joakim Ojera have scored URA’s goals but their last four games have ended scoreless draws.
The tax collectors play hosts to Tooro United at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole today and they will be desperate to get their third win of the season.
