Eastern Uganda Sports Journalists voted the Uganda Table Tennis team as November 2018’s best

Eastern Uganda Sports Journalist under their under their umbrella body Eastern Uganda Sports Press Association (EUSPA) unanimously voted Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club as the November team of the month.

The development happened during the EUSPA Monthly Assembly held on Thursday at Hill Top Hotel located on Republic Street in Mbale Municipality.

Ronnie Wambomba, working with Open Gate FM nominated the Mbale Tigers Table Tennis team.

He was seconded by Signal FM’s Solomon Qute Kaye.

Table Tennis players from Mbale Tigers produced an outstanding display to help the Uganda National Table Tennis Junior team to win 1 gold medal, 5 Silver medals and 3 bronze Medals at the ITTF East Africa Regional Championship in Kigali Rwanda that recently climaxed.

Team Uganda was represented by 10 junior Table Tennis players.

Five of these were from Mbale Tigers Table Tennis to include the coach Jude Mutete.

Uganda Table Tennis Junior Team that participated in ITTF tourney Rwanda:

Boys: Ivan Zandya (Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club), John Madanda (Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club), Muzafari Samanya (Mbale Tigers) , Miiro Diouf (Mbogo College), Rahan Ssekulima ( Mbogo College)

Girls Team: Lydia Nandala (Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club), Ivy Nekesa (Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club), Wotanabera Irene (St. Micheal), Amina Namaganda (Mbogo College) and Mbabazi Patricia (Mbogo College)

EUSPA is sponsored by Univertsity Link High School Mbale, one of the leading private season in sports and academics in the Eastern Uganda region.
