A lethargic display from the Venoms resulted into their elimination from the Caf Champions League at the hands of debutants CS Constantine of Algeria.
The Algerians were dominant at Kitende and joined Paidha and URA among sides that left St. Mary’s stadium, unscathed but how did each Vipers’ player perform on the day.
Derrick Ochan 4.0: He made one good save to deny the visitors but should have done better with crosses that led to the two goals.
Bashir Asiku 2.0: Takes blame for both goals as he failed to mark his man. Neither defended well nor did offer anything in offensive areas.
Yayo Lutimba 3.0: He did well in the first half but was a highway in the second half as both crosses that led to the goals came via his side.
Halid Lwaliwa 5.5: One of the two best players on the day for Vipers SC and made brilliant blocks to keep the score respectable.
Livingstone Mulondo 5.0: He won a couple of aerial battles in the first half but was turned inside out in the second half.
Geoffrey Wasswa 6.5: Very outstanding in a dull performance by the rest and never deserved to be on the losing side.
Moses Waiswa 3.0: A lethargic display from the attacking midfielder, too many back passes and rarely played a forward pass.
Brian Nkuubi 4.0: He was a little lively in the first half but went into oblivion after the break.
Tito Okello 5.0: He started on the left side of a three man attack and looked lively but was a shadow of himself after the break when he switched to the right.
Noah Wafula……………………………………………………..
Daniel Sserunkuma 4.0: Brilliant close control and shot off Wasswa’s long ball was his only contribution to the game in which he lacked supply until he was replaced.
Substitutes
Duncan Sseninde 2.0: One good run after he came on. His introduction disorganised the team structure, failed to track back when opponents attacked as well.
Abraham Ndugwa 2.0: His major contribution was poor ball control that resulted into CS Constantine second goal.
Davis Kasirye 2.0: Made no impact on replacing Sserunkuma.
