Following his side’s 2-0 win over Vipers SC, CS Constantine coach Denis Lavan said his team was better in all aspects of the game and could have won with a bigger margin.
The Algerian side eliminated the Venoms, 3-0 on aggregate in a dominant performance over two legs.
“My players deserved to win this game,” said Lavan. “The first leg was a little bit difficult because we were nervous while at home but today, we used the ball better and scored two goals,” he added.
In the first half, the visitors didn’t play as better but came out blazing in the second half in which they could have scored more goals.

We were nervous and the weather also did affect us. But in the second half, I told my boys to calm down and we got the chances and scored.
The tactician who has spent three weeks with the team also believes his team is much better than Vipers.
My team is technically and tactically better and over two legs, Vipers had only one chance to score.
CS Constantine qualifies for the Caf Champions League for the first time in their history.
