Mutyaba (holding the ball) is congratulated after scoring a hat-trick against Amuka . He scored the winner against Bul

KCCA stretched their lead at the top of the table to five points with a 2-1 win over Bul FC at Njeru Technical Centre on Saturday.

Muzamiru Mutyaba and Mike Mutyaba scored for the visitors who now move to 30 points while Bul’s consolation was scored by Jean Pierre Kambale.

Mutyaba put the visitors in the lead inside 16 minutes before another Mutyaba doubled the lead fourteen minutes later.

However, the second goal had controversy surrounding it as Mutyaba appeared to control the ball with his arm before unleashing a low shot that left the Bul goalie with no chance.

Anti-riot police had to fire teargas to disperse rowdy home fans who threatened to beat up the match officials at half time.

In the second half, the host appeared rejuvenated and duly got their reward in the 73rd minute when an ambitious effort from Kambale hit the net.

From this moment, Peter Onen’s side who dropped a place to 7th on the log looked the part but KCCA defence led by Timothy Awany stood tall to deny Bul a second goal.
