Barely 24 hours after the shocking sacking of Mexican national Javier Martinez Espinoza, Vipers Sports Club named Michael Ouma as his ‘Nam’ replacement.
This was in statement published on their website.
Ouma is a former Kenyan U-17 national team head coach and holds a CAF A licence.
He is expected to lead a five-strong technical team in the interim until the end of the season.
Moses ‘Ugboss’ Oloya is the assistant -cum- goalkeeping coach whilst former players Edward Ssali is trainer.
Ram Nyakana is maintained as strength and endurance coach.
The Kitende-based club said they would name the fifth member “sooner than later once all documentation is finalised”.
Ouma’s first assignment is three days away, as the league’s defending champions face Sam Ssimbwa’s URA FC on Wednesday, 2nd January 2018 at Mandela National Stadium.
The former Agro Chemicals head coach is expected to start his first training session on Monday, 31st December 2018.
Ouma is the fourth foreign appointment by the club headed by former FUFA chairperson Lawrence Mulindwa.
Martinez had succeeded Portuguese Miguel Da Costa. Previously, Nigerian Ambrose Chukuma handled the club moments after the three time league winners had re-branded from Bunamwaya Sports Club.
