For Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) trained security personnel, Dixon Adol Okello, 2019 is yet another day of blessings.

Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named the Ugandan born security guru to be in charge of all security affairs as Tanzania’s Simba Sports Club plays host to Algerian side Jeunesse Sportive De la Saoura in a CAF Champions League group D duel on 12th January 2019 at the national stadium in Dar es salaam.

The Msimbazi based club, home to three Ugandan born players Emmanuel Arnold Okwi, Murushid Jjuuko and Meddie Kagere (now nationalised to play for Rwanda Amavubi Stars) will play the Algerian club in the CAF Champions league group D encounter.

The match will be officiated by Botswana born referees.

Joshua Bondo, arguably among the best referees at the moment will be the center referee.

Countrymen Oamogetse Godisamang and Godfrey Moemedi Monakwane will be the first and second assistant referees respectively.

Leso Kutlwano, also from Botswana is the fourth official for this match.

The commissioner is James Leonard Mwenda from Malawi and Ghanaian Alexander Sakyi Asante is the general match coordinator whilst Okello takes over the security affairs.

Okello has previously handed high profile matches including the Al Ahly against Horoya Guinea quarterfinal clash in Cairo and He was once again on duty for the Al Ahly – Seithief semifinal duel.

Lately, he handled the security affairs in the highly billed second leg clash of the 2018 CAF Confederation final between Democratic Republic of Congo’s AS Vita Club and Morocco’s Club Athletic.
